Where are the Spiritual Fathers?

"Now when Jehu had come to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it; and she put paint on her eyes and adorned her head, and looked through a window. Then, as Jehu entered at the gate, she said, 'Is it peace, Zimri, murderer of your master?' And he (Jehu) looked up at the window, and said, 'Who is on my side? Who?' So two or three eunuchs looked out at him. Then he said, 'Throw her down.' So they threw her down, and some of her blood splattered on the wall and on the horses; and he trampled her underfoot." (2 Kings 9:30-33)

Jezebel was the Queen of Israel who promoted idolatry and false worship. She usurped authority and castrated men (took away their manhood). She manipulated to get her way through sexual vices.

The Jezebel spirit still works in the world today. It continues to promote false worship and idolatry. It raises up false prophets. The spirit was born in rebellion and witchcraft. It works to destroy homes and marriages through unholy alliances and by emasculating the husband (taking away their place of authority). The spirit promises protection through control, but rather is looking for an inroad to bring the victim into bondage.

The Jezebel spirit works within the church--looking for teachable, seducible, controllable "disciples" of her own. She wants to produce spiritual children of her own. She will look for those who are in rebellion, who are weak, wounded, or those who are bucking spiritual authority.

It is this spirit that has attempted to destroy the men of the church and the spiritual fathers. Where are the spiritual fathers of the church? Where are the Davids? The Joshuas? The Abrahams? Those that would father spiritual children and leave a spiritual legacy. Where are the intercessors? Those that would stand in the gap on behalf of the nation. Spiritual mothers have their place, but their is a great need for the spiritual fathers to arise. Where are the priests of the home?

Who is with me? I can hear Jehu calling to the men to arise--those whom Jezebel has tried to castrate. Those whom she has tried to kill. It is time for you to stand up and take your place as men. Throw Jezebel out of the window. Throw her to the dogs. Let her be trampled underfoot. Gird yourself with strength. Put on the armor of God. Make ready for battle. It is time for Jezebel to be dethroned. Hear the call of Jehu--"Who is with me?"
